Rules of Appellate Procedure



In case of disagreement by the student with the results of the admission rating and/or final control mark of the State exam, final attestation for discipline he/she has the right to appeal to the Chairman of the appeals Committee with the approval of the Dean or Vice Dean for academic work (relevant school and year of study). The statement indicates the exam’s stage (testing or practical skills examination) and the name of appealed step if it is the second stage of the integrated exam.

Students who disagree with the results of the admission rating and/or final exam rating, submit the application to the Chairman of the appeals committee (as per form), written by his own hand. Applications are accepted until 6 p.m. on the next day after the exam or after the announcement of the exam results.

The application must be clearly stated in the subject of the appeal indicating reasons why the student disagrees with the result of the exam.
In the case of examination by computer-based testing with automatic appeal (Sirius) – a written appeal is not submited, the appeal is only possible via a module of the appeal (special button) in the test program.

The appeal is not a re-examination. In considering the appeal just the correctness of the exam results assessment will be verified. As the result of the appeal student’s mark may be raised, decreased or left unchanged.

If there is no clear description of the appeal subject, also  non-compliance with the time frame for the appeal submission, non-compliance with the form of application, the absence of the student on the appeal meeting, the application will be withdrawn. The appeal is not re-performed on the same issue. 

The appeal is conducted without the presence of the student. The decision of the appeal Committee shall be communicated to the student. The fact of review shall be signed by the student. 

The decision of the appeals Committee is final and is not subject to revision.
